Emily Kinney born August 15, is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. Kinney worked in coffee shops, where she began to meet people from the acting and music industries. Kinney made her film debut with Aunt Tigress playing Gina. Kinney continued acting in a variety of recurring guest and cameo roles in various films and television shows. Although she was actually 25 at the start of production, her character Beth was the year-old sister of Maggie in Season 2. Kinney finished her role on The Walking Dead as Beth in ,  but made one final appearance in in the ninth episode of the fifth season.

Former Walking Dead star Emily Kinney is "totally open" to reprising her role as Beth Greene , the singing farm girl killed off in the show's fifth season. The half-sister of Maggie Lauren Cohan and the youngest daughter of the late Hershel Scott Wilson — who returned to The Walking Dead when he appeared as a hallucination dreamed up by a gravely wounded Rick Grimes Andrew Lincoln in his final episode — Beth was shot and killed by ex-cop Dawn Christine Woods in the fifth season's mid-season finale, "Coda. It makes me so happy to be a part of it, I'm very proud of being a part of that show. So it's not out of [the question] … if there was some way, sure. Kinney was involved with the tenth season of The Walking Dead when she penned a song performed by Beta Ryan Hurst , one of the flesh-wearing Whisperers exposed as a famed country music artist pre-apocalypse. The actress and singer-songwriter previously confirmed showrunner Angela Kang reached out to incorporate Kinney's music as an Easter egg that first appeared when Magna Nadia Hilker listened to a record secretly performed by Beta.

In the midseason finale of the fifth season, Rick Grimes Andrew Lincoln attempts a peaceful exchange with badge-wearing police officer Dawn Christine Woods when his group of survivors tracks the missing Beth to Atlanta's Grady Memorial Hospital. It's there that Dawn runs a corrupt system patrolled by members of the city's police department, who subjugate wards Beth and Noah Tyler James Williams before taking in Carol Melissa McBride as a patient. When Rick's crew trades a pair of Dawn's hostage officers in exchange for Beth and Carol, she makes the deal but refuses to let Noah leave. Beth unsheathes a pair of scissors and stabs Dawn, who accidentally shoots Beth in the head. A distraught Daryl Norman Reedus kills Dawn with a head shot in retaliation before carrying Beth's body out to her grieving older sister Maggie Lauren Cohan.
